Massaranduba, also known as Brazilian Redwood or Bulletwood usually straight grained, fine grain and little drawing.
The heartwood is a medium to dark reddish brown with the colour tending to darken with age. The pale yellow sapwood is clearly differentiated from the heartwood, though not always sharply demarcated.
