About our company
Town and Country Projects was founded in March 2006 by Grier Fisher. After years of applying his trade of external timber works for other companies he decided to start his own business.
With an extensive background in Horticulture (soft and hard landscaping), Grier brings a combination of common sense, logic and an artistic eye for detail to every project, with all projects personally supervised from the first initial concept meeting onto design, procurement and final installation.
When it comes to the design and installation of residential decks and entertainment area’s there are many aspects to consider.
With Town and Country Projects we can work with you or your design team to develop your ideas further and create the appropriate space that not only suits your needs and lifestyle but also fits aesthetically with the architecture of your house and your environment.
Add-ons like built in planter boxes, custom made seating or bespoke balustrades and handrails can also be added to create comfort, flow and safety. Residential decks can also be designed on multiple levels to assist in accessibility of previously un-usable space while allowing you to enjoy your entire outside area.
At Town and Country Projects we firmly believe that a well designed and constructed outdoor living area will not only add significant value to your home but will also entice you outside to enjoy it more.
Many commercial jobs done to date have been either over water or in environmentally sensitive areas.
These include water features and natural wetlands at housing Estates, boardwalks and jetty’s at Century City also including the Intaka Island Environmental centre and the V and A waterfront.
With techniques we have developed over the years we are one of the few companies that can pile drive H6 treated round poles into 2000mm of water without the use of any concrete casting or divers. This method is a lot lighter, more sensitive and has zero contamination of the environment.
For more industrial commercial jobs, this technique allows us to build temporary platforms for support of larger structures that may need to be built over water.
While Town and Country Projects will consider all clients’ needs as far as desired materials we cannot stress the importance enough of using timber from certified sustainable resources and can assist in advice and procurement thereof.
Town and Country Projects’ main aim is not just to supply a quality product on time and to budget, but most importantly to give you the customer a “good building” story!
